- This stuff is so sickening to see. Team OS/2 has it so wrong.
- I've installed plenty of Win '95 at home and in business using older
- hardware and older apps and upgrading to the new 32-bit apps and
- everything else. While I admit we've had a few problems, we've never,
- ever hit upon ANY of the problems that just seem to crop up when Team
- OS/2 supposedly uses Win95. DOOM for Dos runs just fine under Win95
- and you don't need to go into the DOS compatibility mode to run it. In
- fact all the games I've seen, old and new, there is only one that
- requires you to dump out to DOS compatibility mode. Installing Win95
- does require you to think a bit but it's not hard to install.
- Now as for Merlin coming out, are you saying that it's not going to
- require more memory to run than its predecessor? That's not what I've
- heard. Of course you'll deny it, I would be disappointed if you didn't
- but obviously to make things more user friendly OS's are going to
- require more memory and more HD space. That's the price of progress.
- I'll also admit Win95 does have bugs, but so did OS/2 including
- WARP when it first came out. Only nobody cared about the bugs when
- warp came out because no one was using it, so they were by and large
- just plain ignored. Microsoft is coming out with an upgrade for Win95
- and it looks pretty good. Microsoft has done a good of job of building
- a good OS here for the masses. You can't please everyone. Everyone is
- not going to have a good install. This is true for any OS, Win95 and
- OS/2.
- Like I said before, this disinformation that is being spread around
- is just plain disgusting. I'm sick and tired of seeing it. Why don't
- you guys just report the truth and not what you claim is the truth. In
- fact, why don't you just GROW UP!
